I'm sure most of you have received Nancy Gillott's email regarding uniforms.
On Wednesday, I emailed all your comments to our Principal and the Schoolboard Trustee. The Trustee promptly got back to me and was overwhlemed by the parent response and comments.
Because of your feedback and our momentum (and likely the countless induvidual emails as well!), we are making a positive step forward - Thank you for taking the time to sign and make comments! Please it pass along to your friends and family. Keep the petition going! The more people we get, the better our case will be on May 31st.
Though most of us were on the same path with unity, equlization, lack of communication, etc...We had one parent mention textile waste. It got me thinking; In the last 17 years, I've had to buy *NEW* uniforms 3 times. Having our annual used uniform sale saves an incredible amount of textiles going to waste! Being a science school, with one of our main focuses being ReduceReuseRecycle, this should definitely be one of the key purposes for keeping the uniforms.
