Do NOT move Finland´s most famous camping - Let´s safe Ounaskoski camping Rovaniemi

The decision-making department of Rovaniemi, called the operator acquisition, has decided that after the summer of 2028, the lease agreement for Ounaskoski Camping Rovaniemi will end. The reason for this is said to be the plans of "creditors" to turn the area into a park for local residents. This would be the destruction of summer tourism. The popularity of caravan tourism is increasing all the time. We tourists do not choose to stay overnight in Rovaniemi in Santa Claus' village, but want to experience authentic Rovaniemi city center life. In the future, we will choose our campsite further north if the historic and world-famous campsite is closed. We hope that we tourists will also be listened to. The center of Rovaniemi will lose income if the only functioning unit of summer tourism is destroyed. We demand that the campsite remains in its location and that the city gives the current entrepreneur a long-term lease so that the entrepreneur can develop the area.
